Read More	DIED SUDDENLY Mrs. Grace Mary Selley Holden succumbs to heart failure in Omaha. Last Friday evening, S. W Selley received a telegram announcing the sudden death of his daughter, Mrs. Grace Holden at Omaha. His daughter, Lena had just left an hour previous for Omaha to visit her sister, but a telegram intercepted her at Oxford. Mr. Selley left on the morning train. Mr. Holden returned form his work Friday evening and failing to find his wife on entering the house instituted a search. he found her in an adjoining groom and thinking she went to sleep went over and kissed her to wake her up, when he discovered that she was dead. He immediately telephoned for the doctor and coroner who upon their arrival stated that she had been dead about seven hours. Rev. Gibb conducted the services at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel W. Selley, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment took place in the Benkelman Cemetery. Grace Mary Selley Holden was born near Villisca, Iowa, October 8, 1899 and died at Omaha, December 20, 1918, age 19 years, 2 months, and 11 days. She moved with her parents from Iowa to Benkelman, nebraska, December 5, 1900. She lived here until a year ago last May, when she moved with her husband to Omaha. She was united in marriage to Leland Percy Holden on May 14, 1917 at Omaha, where they lived happy together until death overtook her. When a little girl she responded to the call of her Saviour and gave her heart to Him and united with the M. E. Church. She remained a faithful member of the same until the day of her departure. She was a young woman of splendid character and noble life. She never evaded responsibility or sought the way of least resistance. If she failed anywhere it was perhaps in assuming more than her physical strength could bear. Her unselfish nature saved her from any self centered views of life and it was her joy to help bear the burdens of others. She was industrious to a fault, and never can it be said that she ate the bread of idleness. Her kind, sympathizing, trustworthy, earnest nature and disposition made her a friend to al and gave her the confidence of those associated with her. To know her was to love her, and those who knew her best loved her most. The world is poorer because of her removal, but the influences of her life will linger to enrich the lives of those that she touched. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Leland Percy Holden; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Well (Cora Emma Baker) Selley; three brothers, and three sisters, Clarence E., William M, and Martin A. of Benkelman; and Lena Hazel, Hellene A., and June E. Selley; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Baker of Iowa and Mr. M. V. Selley of Iowa, besides uncles and aunts and a great many relatives and friends. The New Chronicle joins the many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved ones.
