Description	:	Ref: Guy John McVey, 85, former long time resident of Ft. Madison, died Sunday at the Henry County hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He had been a resident of the Millspaugh Nursing Home, Mt. Pleasant, for the past five years. Mr. McVey had been in failing health three years and critically ill two months. He was born July 30, 1881, at Salem, Iowa. Surviving are three sons, Ivan McVey, West Point, Dexter McVey, Ft. Madison, and Ralph McVey, Yellowstone, MT; a brother, Forest McVey, Salem; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, one daughter, two brothers and a sister. His parents were Marion and Charity (Scarborough) McVey. The body is at the Hall Funeral Home where final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Fred Rowley will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
