Hannah emigrated from Sweden with her parents and siblings Peter Eric Jr. and Louis and her paternal uncle John in 1882. Hannah is listed as Johanna Fredrika on the church emigration record and Johanna Tonell on the Orlando's passenger list. Hannah's youngest sister, Katarina, stayed in Sweden with her paternal grandparents until they immigrated and joined the family at Marquette, Nebraska in 1887. Her brother, Loius, born in 1881, died during the sea voyage in 1882. Her sister, Emma, was born in Nebraska. The family arrived in New York from Liverpool, England on August 28, 1882. They travelled on the ship Germanic. Hannah is listed as Johana Tonell on the passenger list. Hannah married Nils Otis Nordstrom (called N.O.) on June 2, 1894 in Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska. Their children are Otis, Harold, Clyde, Floyd, Ethel and Helen. They later divorced. Hannah married Harry Kostos on December 10, 1917 in Kearney, Nebraska. They divorced in 1936 and she resumed the Nordstrom name. Hannah and Nils had only one grandchild, William Donald (Bill) Nordstrom (Memorial # 139234868), son of Floyd (1903 - 1981) and Margaret Munro (1904-1977) Nordstrom. Hannah died in Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City, Nebraska. She lived the last three years of her life with her daughter Mrs. Helen Smith in Central City. Notes: Descendants of John J. Tunell (brother of Hannah's father, Peter Tunall, Sr.), when doing genealogical research in Sweden, found several interesting facts regarding the family surnames. On what appeared to be a census record (1871-1875), Peter Sr. is listed as Per Jonson (born February 28, 1852) with wife Carin Ersdotter (born October 16, 1855) and a daughter Johanna Törnell (born June 25, 1875). Another document showed Katarina listed as Katarina Persdotter Törnell at the time of her immigration in 1887.
