Mr. Bodeker had been a resident of Wayne township for twenty one years,and was well and favorably known, not only in the township of his residence, but in Monticello where he had many friends who mourn his demise. The deceased was born in Germany, November 10th, 1830,and was consequently seventy four years of age. He was married about fifty-two years ago in Germany, to Maggie Brunen who survives her husband. They remained in Germany until about the year 1884 when they journeyed to this country where they had many acquaintances. Mr. Bodeker followed the avocation of a farmer during his entire lifetime. He is survived by the following named children:Mrs. Maggie Thoelen, Mr. George Bodeker, Mrs. Frances Rodieck, Mrs. Maggie Dierks, Mrs. Mattie Rodman and Mrs. Kate Ireland. The deceased was a member of the German Lutheran church of Wayne township. The funeral services ere held at the late residence of the deceased, yesterday noon and were conducted by Rev. C. Mardorf
