Description	:	Harm Folkerts Harm Folkerts was born on April 24, *1858 at Logumer Vorwerk, Ostfriesland, Germany. In 1883 he left his old home coming to Steamboat Rock where he resided ever since. On February 11, 1887 he was married to Lena Janssen. This union was blessed with 10 children, of whom one, however died in infancy. On the 26th day of October, 1922 the mother was taken by death from the family circle. On March 4, of this year the deceased married Mrs. Hie Folkerts, the widow of his brother. About three weeks ago he was taken ill suddenly and in spite of medical treatment at the hospital and the self-sacrificing care of his faithful wife he died on Sunday, Nov. 22 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 29 days. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, 4 sons, 5 daughters, 11 grandchildren, 6 step children, 3 brothers and 1 sister, besides many other relatives and friends. Harm Folkerts was a faithful member of the local Baptist church having been baptized by Rev. H. Dallmann on February 17, 1889. The children who survive are Hil, Wilbur, Will and Harm; Mrs. Will Harms, Mrs. B. Haven, Iowa Falls, Mrs. Albert Friedrich, Elizabeth and Marie. His birth year on the tombstone differs from his bio and his death record.
