Read More	Harold Ambrose Walsh, second son of John and Anna E. Walsh, was born August 4, 1914, near Mayetta, Kans., and departed this life on March 14, 1935. "In the midst of life we are in death" was never more forcibly brought home to us. Strong and robust, in the prime of life, God saw fit to call his soul to Him. A few short hours, before even his dear ones could realize it, he was gone to join his mother and brother in heaven. His mother passed away in 1919, leaving three small children. For several years he was given a home with his aunt, Mrs. Chas. Kennedy. He attended the Sunny Slope school and later the Holton High School, graduating with the class of 1933. He joined Co. E in 1930 and was always ready and willing to do his part, taking great pride in his duties. Since the death of his brother, Robert, September 9, 1934, he assumed the responsibility of helping his father maintain a home. Always cheerful and with a smile that won him hosts of friends, his was truly a life worth living. Surviving him are his father and sister, Mildred, who miss him keenly, his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Walsh, numerous relatives and friends without number. The funeral was held Saturday morning at nine o'clock at St. Francis Xavier church in Mayetta, from the home of his grandmother. The services were conducted by Rev. J. Ryan, who paid a loyal tribute to him as a soldier and a Christian. Co. E paid their last respects to him by attending the funeral in a body and conducting their services at the grave. Eight cousins, Bernard Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Leo Tobin, Walter Tobin, Joseph Walsh, Jr., George Kennedy, Jr., Louis Hurla and Theodore Mann, carried his flag draped coffin to its last resting place, while eight comrades in Co. E acted as honorary pallbearers. In the presence of his friends and the flag he loved so well, he was tenderly laid to rest in the family lot at Mount Calvary cemetery.
