HAROLD ROHLMEIER Bern relatives and friends were shocked and grieved to hear of the death of Harold Rohlmeier, who passed away last Thursday in the Pawnee hospital after an illness of only a few days. Harold, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. August Rohlmeier, DuBois, was born May 2, 1912. His death February 4, 1943 was at the age of 30 years, 9 months and 2 days. He was attacked with meningitis and taken to the Pawnee hospital where everything possible was done for him. Harold was born on a farm east of DuBois, living there until he was 10 years old and attending Athens school. In the spring of 1923 he moved, with his parents and sister Irene, to a farm they purchased, one mile south and four miles west of DuBois. Here he has since resided, farming the place himself since his parents retirement several years ago. He was united in marriage to Miss Ruth Beutler, and to this union was born a daughter, Carol Mae, now two years old. He leaves his wife and little daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Rohlmeier, DuBois; his sister Mrs. Irene Korber and little niece Janice of Bern, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Friedens Evangelical church, conducted by Rev. Schieler, with music furnished by the choir. Pallbearers were Corydon Bartrum, Lee Spohr, Dean Lair, Arthur Triska, Elmo Meader and Berneice Bredemeier. Interment was in the church cemetery.
