He was born in Clay Center, Kan., in 1920, to Riley and Margaret Coltharp. Harold was married to Viola M. Selders in 1943, until her death in 1969. His second marriage was to Bernadine Senger-Wilkinson in 1971, until her death in 2004. He grew up farming on the Coltharp homestead, moving to Wisconsin in 1963. He worked at Fish Building Supply, Middleton, until retirement, retiring to the Lake Wisconsin area, near Merrimac. He was a member of the Merrimac Methodist Church. He made many friends through work, church and his other generous activities. His love of outdoor activities and woodworking was only surpassed by his love of family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Marguerite Hall of Baltimore, Md.; son, Everett (Toni) Coltharp of Waunakee; son, Harold Coltharp of Lodi; step-daughter, Diane (Art Camosy) Wilkinson of Madison; step-son, Jim (Elaine) Wilkinson of Janesville; granddaughter, Kimberly (Warren) Coltharp-Lyerly of Madison; granddaughter, Diana Wilkinson-Camosy of Madison; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Nathan, Austin, Warren and Alesha; Dawn Coltharp, wife of Clifford Coltharp; and Pam Coltharp, wife of Mike Coltharp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Margaret Coltharp of Bala, Kan.; sister, Mildred Bennet; brother, and sister-in-law, George and Pauline Coltharp of Manhattan, Kan.; grandson, Mike Coltharp of Waunakee; and grandson, Clifford Coltharp of Madison. A simple memorial service will be held during Sunday worship service at 10:15 on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at MERRIMAC METHODIST CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Merrimac Methodist Church. The family would also like to thank the many friends and extended family that visited Harold over the last several months. Your visits were bright spots in his days.
