Description	:	MRS. HATTIE SLOSS Mrs. Hattie Sloss departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roscoe Zolman, at DeLasus, on last Friday, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. Harriet Elizabeth Kemper was born on May 17, 1863 and died Feb. 13, 1931, her age at the time of her death being 67 years, 8 months and 26 days. She was the seventh child of Y.O. and Mary Ann Kemper. Harriet Elizabeth Kemper was born on May 17, 1863 and died Feb. 13, 1931, her age at the time of her death being 67 years, 8 months and 26 days. She was the seventh child of Y.O. and Mary Ann Kemper. On Oct. 15, 1901, she was united in marriage to Leonard F. Sloss. To this union two children were born--Mary (Mrs. Rosco) Zolman, of DeLassus, and Virginia (Mrs. Ed) Allen of Trenton, Mich. Besides her husband and children she eaves to mourn her passing three brothers, Leonard F. and John C. , who still live on the farm where they were born and reared, three miles west of Fredericktown, and Henry Kemper, of Lyons, Kansas. She was converted and baptized in the faith of the Primitive Baptist church when she was a young girl, but due to the fact that she was blind she was unable to take any active part of any religious work, but held her faith until the end. This good woman always had a kind word for everyone and up until sh became too sick she took active part in her household duties and caring for her brother who was also blind. Funeral services were held at DeLassus Saturday afternoon by Rev. Hudson. Interment was in the Parkview cemetery.
