Garner died at his home 2 miles northwest of Brownsburg, late Sunday afternoon. He had been in poor health for the past few years but he was up and down until quite recently. Garner Passed Sunday Afternoon, Harrison B. Garner died at his home 2 miles northwest of Brownsburg, late Sunday afternoon. He had been in poor health for the past few years but he was up and down until quite recently. He suffered with Bright's disease but the immediate cause of his death was heart disease. Religious services were conducted at the residence at 10 o'clock Tuesday forenoon by Eld. R. A. Fuson, in the presence of a large number of friends, after which interment was had at Greenlawn cemetery. The pall-bearers were chosen from his old friends among the Masonic brethren and the last tributes of respect offered to him were witnessed by large number of people. Harrison B. Garner was born February 28, 1828, in Bath county, Kentucky, and came to this vicinity with his parents in early childhood. He was married to Frances Lowder, December 12, 1850, by Eld. Thomas Hooten. He joined the Bethesda Missionary Baptist church when 19 years of age and was the last member of the original congregation of that church, in which he lived a faithful member until death. He was a Mason and, though on account of declining health, he took out a demit, was still a Mason in sentiment and spirit. He was a sturdy-type of citizen that belonged more particularly to another generation, and reflected a standard of unwavering manhood that forced respect and admiration.
