Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 21 Jan 1953 Old Time Resident Answers Final Summons Harry Simmons, Sr., old time resident of Chouteau county and Fort Benton, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at his home in this city, following an illness extending over the past several weeks. Mr. Simmons was born in New Orleans on May 14, 1885, where he spent his early life. He came west in 1906 and some time later took up a homestead in the Goosebill section, which he operated for some time. He moved to this city in the early 20s and was employed at various jobs here. For a good many years he served as janitor at a good many of Fort Benton's business establishments, serving the longest period of time as janitor of the Chouteau County Bank. He resigned this position last fall and has since been on a semi-retired list. He was well known to nearly all the residents here. He is survived by his wife, and by one son, Harry Simmons, Jr., who is now serving with the armed forces in Germany and who will be unable to return home for the funeral services. Also surviving are several stepchildren and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the Benton Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Riverside cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. --- Father: Sheldon Simmons
