Description	:	Harry "Buck" Bisby, 85, life long resident of Herington, died Thursday, January 11th, 2007, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. He was born on July 25th, 1921, at Herington, the son of Sherman M. and Frances M. "Fannie" (Schump) Bisby. A Christian Mass will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, January 16th, 2007, at the St. John's Catholic Church, Herington, with Rev. Mark Wesely officiating. Committal service will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with military honors. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Herington. He served in the Army and Air force as a Staff Sergeant during World War II and the Korean War as a gunner on B-29's. He graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1939. He married Erna E. Beisel on July 21st, 1949, in Riverside, California; she survives of the home. He is also survived by his twin sister Delma O'Connor of Herington, and two (2) brothers: Richard Bisby of Clinton, MO, and Dennis Bisby of Warsaw, MO. The family request memorials to the St. John's Catholic Church or the St. Paul's Lutheran Church; and they can be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 South Broadway, Herington, Kansas, 67449-3038.
