Description	:	Harry C. Marsh, son of W. Z. and Melvina Marsh, was born in Brooks, Iowa, April 21, 1877 and passed away from this life after a brief illness of about two hours, May 5, 1932 at the age of 56 years and 18 days. He was married to Miss Jessie Hibberly of Red Oak, Iowa. To this union one daughter was born, who has preceded him in death. He was again married to Mrs. Minnie Rains. He was married to Miss Jessie Hibberly of Red Oak, Iowa. To this union one daughter was born, who has preceded him in death. He was again married to Mrs. Minnie Rains. To this union a son was born, Fay H. Marsh of Creston, who was present at the funeral. In the year of 1919, Mrs. Minnie Marsh passed away, leaving her husband and son to mourn her passing. In January 1920 he was united in marriage to Miss Abbie Allen of Corning, who remains with Fay and three step-children, Frank Rains, Mrs. Roy Leonard of Emerson, Iowa and Mrs. Fannie Adams of Lincoln, Nebraska, to mourn his departure. Besides these he is survived by two grandchildren; one brother, Walter Marsh of Villisca, Iowa and a half-sister Mrs. May Mandarin of Brooks, Iowa, a number of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. His father and mother and one brother, Bruce, preceded him in death. Harry was a barber in Brooks for over 23 years and will be greatly missed by the community. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon May 8th at 7 p.m. at the Brooks Methodist Church with Rev. Saville in charge. It was a very large funeral, the church being too small for the crowds wishing to pay their respects to the deceased. Interment was made in the Nodaway Cemetery.
