Death apparently followed a heart attack, according to John Ritter, Wapello County medical examiner. The son of Jefferson and Clara Richards Parks, he was born in Ottumwa Aug. 24, 1899. Parks, 62, of Ottumwa Route 3, who died Tuesday at 8 a.m., will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Brigadier Walter E. Lee of the Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles McKay, Arthur Johnson, James Hartley, Winfield Frazier, Alfred Benjamin and Charles Cudworth. Mr. Parks suffered a heart attack as he sat in his car. He had shoveled snow earlier.
