Description	:	Harry John Schriever, the son of William Schriever and Sophie (Meyer) Schriever, was born at Smyrna, Nebraska, on March 25, 1910. He grew up on the family farm and was educated at the Smyrna School. He was married to Ella Jeppesen on June 3, 1934, at Ella's parents home at Ruskin. To this union one son, Lester Dean, was born. Read More	Harry John Schriever, the son of William Schriever and Sophie (Meyer) Schriever, was born at Smyrna, Nebraska, on March 25, 1910. He grew up on the family farm and was educated at the Smyrna School. He was married to Ella Jeppesen on June 3, 1934, at Ella's parents home at Ruskin. To this union one son, Lester Dean, was born. Harry's life and work was his farming and after retirement and moving to Superior took great pride and enjoyed working in his yard and garden. His last project was his little farm display in his fron yard which he worked on Monday, Tuesday and passed away on Friday. He was a member of the Centennial Lutheran Church, Superior. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, Ernest and Harvey Schriever; and a sister, Elsie Schleif. He is survived by his wife Ella of Superior; one son, Dean, of San Jose, California; three grandchildren, John of Berkeley, California, Domenica Mickelson of San Jose, California, and Drew of San Jose, California; one brother William Schriever and his wife Veva of Superior; other sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Harry passed away on October 12, 1990, at the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 17 days. Funeral services were held Friday, October 19, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. from the Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior with Pastor David Loeschen officiating. Congregational hymns of "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," "Just As I Am" and "Abide With Me" were sung with Marj Kroeger as organist. Casketbearers were Lee Schriever, James Schriever, Warren Jeppesen, Myron Schriever, Gene Barnett and Loren Ahrens. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery near Superior. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, October 25, 1990; pg. 5
