Read More	Harry Ralph Schoch was born to Harry Edson Schoch and Anna (Titus) Schoch on Feb 23, 1904, at Emerald, and passed away November 21, 1994, at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 21 days. He was one of four children in the family. Ralph grew up in the Lushton area. He came to Fairmont as a senior to finish high school. Ralph began farming in 1929, and continued to farm until 1958. Ralph was married to Olive Martin at her parent's home on July 31, 1927, and to them two children were born, Wayne and Maxine. After their retirement from the farm, Ralph and Olive went to Minnesota to help run a fishing resort. They then returned to York in 1960. In 1961, they moved to the Fairmont community and this has been home ever since. Ralph became a salesman for NC+ and Waddell Reed in 1960 and retired in his early 80's. He has been at Fairview Manor for the past two years. He was a member of the Fairmont Community Church, having earned his 50 year pin. He and Olive were awarded the "Oldest Married Couple" at the Old Settlers Picnic, having been married 76 years at that time. Ralph enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards with neighbors, friends and family. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Edson Schoch and Anna Titus Schoch; sisters, Ethel Bellows and Blanche Hanson; and brother, Jerry Schoch. He is survived by his wife, Olive Schoch of Fairmont; son, Wayne and wife Ruth of Portland, Texas; daughter, Maxine Laschanzky of Lincoln; grandchildren, Waynette (Tim) Detter, Jeff Schoch and wife Angie, Becky Schoch, Alisa Schoch, Wayne Schoch Jr., Larry Laschanzky, Bruce Laschanzky and wife Cathy and Connie Lahm; great-grandchildren, Michael Detter, Jeff Schoch, Loren, Elizabeth, Klinton , Justin and Riley Laschanzky and Patrick Lahm; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont on Wednesday, Nov. 23, with the Rev. Tony Woodward and the Rev. Melanie Adams officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Dick Bauer who sang "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Casket bearers were Melvin Ackerman, Tom Hassler, Del Korbelik, Bruce Laschanzky, Larry Laschanzky, Duaine Roper and Jeff Schoch. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
