Hattie Blanche Demmer, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dem- mer was born February 9th, 1875 on the old Demmer homestead near Al- toona, and died at her home Friday, August 25, 1933, at 9:25 p. m. She was united in marriage to Paul J. Renaud on February 09, 1898, near Altoona in the old home. She united with the Church of Christ when about 14 years old and was a devoted and faithful member from that time until her passing. She loved the church and did what she could to further the interest of Christ. She also loved the "Rainbow" Class of the Sunday School and her message to each one was "I'll be waiting for you." She leaves surviving, her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Malcom White and Mrs. Harry Plummer, both of Al- toona, numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends. She was un- complaining and patient in pain and sickness and ready to go when it was God's will. The funeral was held from the Al- toona Church of Christ, monday after- noon, conducted by Rev. W. J. Hastie, of Albia, a former pastor. The body was laid to rest in the Altoona ceme- tery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our thanks and appreciation for the kindness shown, and sympathy extended and floral offerings sent during the sickness and death of wife and sister-- Paul Renaud Mrs. Malcom White and Mrs. Harry Plummer.
