Read More	From The Wolbach Messenger, April 1, 1965, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Hattie Edith (Micheel) Klein was born October 30, 1912, the daughter of Emma (Schulz) and William Micheel at Phillips, Nebraska. At an early age, she moved with her family to a farm north of Wolbach, where she received her education in rural schools. She and Albert D. Klein were united in marriage on December 30, 1931 at Grand Island, making their first home on the Klein farm northeast of Wolbach in the Star community. They later lived in McCook and Grand Island and for several years in Detroit, Mich., returning to Wolbach in 1945, where with a brother, Herman Klein, operated a garage, car agency and locker, which they own and operate at the present time. One daughter was born to this union, Peggy, Mrs. Robert Nealon, Wolbach. She departed this life at her home in Wolbach, March 29th, at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 29 days. She is survived by her husband, her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nealon and three grandchildren, Robert, Danny and Lori Nealon, all of Wolbach; her mother, Mrs. Emma Micheel of Salem, Oregon; one brother, Frank of Salem; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Ryan, Palmer; Mrs. Emma Henderson, Salem; Mrs. Erna Sessig, Salem; and Mrs. Francis Comb, Arlington, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Hilda Ewen and one brother, Billy. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister--Hattie was in every sense more than just a member of the community, as a friend and neighbor and in her work at the garage and locker. She was a civic minded person in her town and church, a leader with many able to account for her unselfish work during the building program at Trinity Lutheran and more recently during the tornado disaster, working many untold hours in the interest of others and their well-being as well has more than her share in a countless number of community events. She was known simply as "Hattie" to everyone--with much to be said, and lovingly ad fondly remembered about this Wolbach Woman -- Hattie Klein.
