Description	:	Hattie Jilg, the youngest daughter of Theresia and Anton Jilg, was born in Sallnuss, Austria June 16, 1874 and died at her home on the farm northeast of Miller January 13, 1938 at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 26 days. She came to America with her parents, when but a child and settled near Columbus, Nebraska where they resided for a number of years. Then they moved to a homestead northeast of Miller. Read More	Hattie Jilg, the youngest daughter of Theresia and Anton Jilg, was born in Sallnuss, Austria June 16, 1874 and died at her home on the farm northeast of Miller January 13, 1938 at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 26 days. She came to America with her parents, when but a child and settled near Columbus, Nebraska where they resided for a number of years. Then they moved to a homestead northeast of Miller. On December 6, 1896 she was married to Joseph Kaps. After their marriage they moved to a farm a few miles west of her homestead where she was residing at the time of her death. To this union were born thirteen children. Two children and her husband preceded her in death. Five daughters and six sons survive. Hattie Wiesner, of Litchfield, Nebraska; Jessie Simshauser, Windham, Ohio; Amelia Jones, Ravenna, Ohio; Theresia Adelung, Amherst; Christine Marshall, Independence, Oregon; Adolph Kaps, Elm Creek; John of Independence, Oregon; Richard of Arthur, Nebraska; Joseph Jr, William and Clifford, all of Miller, Nebraska. She also leaves twenty -one grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. She was brought up in the Catholic faith and continued in that faith until after her marriage when she was converted and with many of the members of her family unnited with the United Brethren church at Miller, of which church she was a member at the time of her death. Her Savior was very near to her and she was ready and anxious to meet him. She was find wife and mother and a good neighbor and friend, always considerate of others. Short funeral services were conducted by Rev. Otto Engebretson at the home Sunday at 1 o'clock and two o'clock at the United Brethren church in Miller.
