Description	:	Hazel Eggert Hill was born March 24, 1896, at Flanagan, Illinois; and died at Superior, Nebraska, Saturday morning, July 17, 1943. At the age of two she accompanied her parents to Lyon county (sic), Iowa, residing there for thirteen years. In the spring of 1911 the family moved to Hebron, Nebraska. Read More	Hazel Eggert Hill was born March 24, 1896, at Flanagan, Illinois; and died at Superior, Nebraska, Saturday morning, July 17, 1943. At the age of two she accompanied her parents to Lyon county (sic), Iowa, residing there for thirteen years. In the spring of 1911 the family moved to Hebron, Nebraska. Mrs. Hill attended the Hebron high school, and was graduated in the Class of 1915. She taught school one year, and for several years was employed in the office of the county treasurer at Hebron. On October 12, 1920, she was married to Benjamin James Hill of Superior, and Superior was her home until her death on July 17, 1943. Three children were born: Marguerite Louise, Elizabeth Ann, and William Henry. She is survived by her husband, the three children, all of Superior; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Eggert of Hebron; her sister Louise Eggert of Hebron, two brothers, Henry of Lincoln, and Lieut. Orville W. Eggert of Barksdale Field, Shreveport, La. Mrs. Hill was very active in civic, social and religious circles. She served as president of Chapter DS of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, was past matron of Olive Chapter 63 O.E.S., and president of the Past Matron Club. She was a member of the Superior Woman's Club, and at the time of her passing was vice president of the County Federation. She was a member of the Treble Clef Music club, and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary. While a young girl in her teens she joined the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) at Hebron, and was a faithful and devoted member. She served as organizational president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service for two years, helping to place it upon a firm foundation. She sang for two years in the church choir. Mrs. Hill will always be remembered for her devotion to her family, and her Christian influence will live on in this community.
