Description	:	Wenatchee World - Oct 5, 2001 Hedy I. Whitehall, 80, passed away Oct. 3, 2001 in Wenatchee, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 20, 1920 at Withrow, to Carl and Ida (Hartwig) Rinke. Hedy attended Withrow schools and graduated from Withrow High School. She married Ervin Whitehall on Nov. 18, 1939 at Waterville. Ervin and Hedy lived and farmed in the Farmer/Waterville area until their retirement. In 1995, they moved to East Wenatchee. Ervin preceded her in death in July of 1997. Hedy attended Withrow schools and graduated from Withrow High School. She married Ervin Whitehall on Nov. 18, 1939 at Waterville. Ervin and Hedy lived and farmed in the Farmer/Waterville area until their retirement. In 1995, they moved to East Wenatchee. Ervin preceded her in death in July of 1997. Hedy was a full-time homemaker and mother and worked side-by-side with her husband on the farm. Her family will remember her as the most caring and dedicated of mothers. She had a special way of knowing her family's needs and placing those before her own. She was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterville and Holy Apostles Catholic Church in East Wenatchee. She is survived by her daughters, Marie I. Evans (Jess) of Cashmere, Betty Whitehall of East Wenatchee and Joyce Wright (Wayne) of Wenatchee; grandchildren, Suzanne and Darci Evans, Jason, Tyler and Mandy Marshall, Adam and Kristin Wright and great-granddaughter, Jordan Marshall. She is also survived by sisters, Mary Hayes of Everett, Hilda Park of Moses Lake and Ida Allen of Wenatchee. She was preceded in death by siblings, Joe Rinke, Carl Rinke, George Rinke and Caroline Rinke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday at Waterville St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Maurice Peterson will be the celebrant. Viewing will be at Jones & Jones Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2001. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Jones & Jones Funeral Home in Wenatchee. Concluding services and the interment will follow in the Waterville Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Program. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home.
