She was a member of Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church, and a member and past president for many years of Woodmen of the World. Mrs. Capps was born February 5, 1931 a daughter of the late Willie Best and the late Lutie May Lewis Best. She was a member of Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church, and a member and past president for many years of Woodmen of the World. Mrs. Capps had a giving heart and donated too many different organizations. She was predeceased by 1 son, Robert Jeffrey Capps, 5 brothers, Stanley, Forest, Willie L., Francis, and Norris Best, and 3 sisters, Lurline Hewitt, Julia Grainger, and Rebecca Jordan. Surviving Mrs. Capps are one son, Richard Randal Capps and his wife Pam of Summerville, two daughters, Karen Capps Drafts, of Leesville, Pamela Capps Perry and her husband Paul of Summerville, one sister, Willie Mae Hardwick of Conway, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday Dec. 20, 2013 at Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Mclellan and Rev. Marvin B. Clark officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials can be made in Mrs. Capps honor to Odyssey Hospice, 5965 Core Road North Charleston, SC 29406, or to Cool Springs Southern United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 3051 Hwy. 319 Aynor, SC 29511.
