Description	:	CONWAY - The funeral services for Rebecca 'Becky' Best Jordan will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with internment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel prior to the service. Becky, widow of Fred Jordan, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 19, 2011, at Conway Medical Center. She was born November 6, 1937, in Galivants Ferry, SC to the late Willie and Lutie Best. She graduated from Aynor High School in 1956 and was married to Ronald M. Skipper of Aynor in 1956 until 1969. She was married to Fred Jordan of Conway from February 1981 until his death in May 2001. Becky was an active member of Langston Baptist church for over 40 years having served as a Sunday School teacher to pre-school children. She worked for the Horry County Library for over 25 years before retiring in 1995. She drove the Bookmobile and loved meeting the children who were so excited to see her coming each week. Becky is survived by her son, Ronald Kevin Skipper (Audrey) of Columbia, SC; daughter-in-law, Esther Skipper of Longwood, FL; two sisters, Helen Capps of Galivants Ferry and Willa Mae (Bill) Hardwick of Conway; grandchildren: Joel K. Skipper, Kristin Skipper Cole (Brian) of Columbia, SC; and Sara R. Skipper of Longwood, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews. Becky was predeceased by her husband, Fred Jordan; son, Kenneth E. Skipper; brothers: Stanley Best, Forrest Best, Willie L. Best, and Norris Best; and sisters: Lurline Best Hewitt and Julia Granger. The family would like to thank the staff at Anderson Oaks Assisted Living facility for the kindness and compassion shown to Becky during her stay there.
