She was a graduate of the Nelson High School in the Class of 1918 and for two years following her graduation she taught in the rural schools of this county. Lamb, was born in Shickley, Nebraska, March 25, 1900, and passed from this earthly life at Nelson December 3, 1927. She was a graduate of the Nelson High School in the Class of 1918 and for two years following her graduation she taught in the rural schools of this county. Cheerful and sunshiny in her disposition she was a friend to everyone. Painstaking in her work as bookkeeper the past few years, she was invaluable to her employers. When but a little girl she joined the Methodist church of Nelson and since that time no duty of the church was too great for her when her frail health would permit its undertaking. She has served as teacher in the Sunday school and for the past two years was the superintendent of the Primary department. She gave to her church much of her time and talent, always making it her first obligation, after her home. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Nelson. Though her health the past few years has been rather frail, she never complained. She always had a cheery smile for all. She leaves in her immediate family the following to mourn her early going: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Lamb, four brothers, Bert L. of Birmingham, Ala., Cliff of Nelson, Harry M. of Callaway, and Max of Nelson; and one sister, Mrs. Pauline Bottenfield. To these and her many other relatives and friends she leaves the heritage of a young life well spent, a life filled with loving devotion to all with whom she came in contact. The funeral was held from the Methodist church Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. V.R. Bebee of Peru, former pastor here, and Rev. Allen Chamberlain conducted the service. TheEastern (sic) Star gave the ritualistic service of the Order at the grave.
