Description	:	Helen Catherine Storms De Leeuw, 99, of Winner, SD, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Winner Regional Healthcare Center in Winner, SD. Helen was the second of nine children born to Joseph and Crescentia (Williams) Storms on February 10, 1912 in Millboro, SD. She grew up on the family ranch in Millboro and attended Beaver Creek School. She graduated from Catholic High School in Geddes, SD. She attended Chardon State College in Chadron, NE. Helen was the second of nine children born to Joseph and Crescentia (Williams) Storms on February 10, 1912 in Millboro, SD. She grew up on the family ranch in Millboro and attended Beaver Creek School. She graduated from Catholic High School in Geddes, SD. She attended Chardon State College in Chadron, NE. She taught rural schools in Tripp County for several years. On June 14, 1937, she was married to George De Leeuw in St. Ann's Church in Keyapaha. For many years she lived in Glencoe and Millersville, MN where she and her husband owned and operated flour and feed mill. She was very active in her church and her community. Helen moved to Winner in 1999 after the death of her husband. She moved into Golden Prairie Manor in February 2000 where she lived the rest of her life. She is survived by a brother Mark, Rapid City, SD, a sister Laurene Ekberg, Rapid City, SD, two sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Warner, Eugene, John and James and sisters Marie Welsh and Berniece Legge. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on May 27, 2011, at St. Ann's Church in Keyapaha with burial in the St. Boniface Cemetery in Clearfield, SD.
