Stee was born Sept. 2, 1933, to Hans A. and Eunice (Harriot) Stee at Florence. She grew up on farms near Waubay and Ortley. She attended rural elementary schools and graduated from Webster High School in 1951. She married E. John Wang on Nov. 9, 1951, in Webster. They made their home in Webster. He died in 1983. She married Ed Bartos in 1985 but divorced in 1989. She attended rural elementary schools and graduated from Webster High School in 1951. She married E. John Wang on Nov. 9, 1951, in Webster. They made their home in Webster. He died in 1983. She married Ed Bartos in 1985 but divorced in 1989. She was employed at various places in Webster throughout her life. Her last place of full-time employment was at the Day County Sheriff's Office, where she worked for 13 years until she retired due to poor health. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bird watching, reading and gardening. Survivors include three daughters, Anita (Dick) Logan of Chaska, Minn., and Linda (Danny) Johnson and Bonnie Wang, both of Brookings; one brother, Albert Stee of Clear Lake; four sisters, Rozella Wieger of Brookings, Evelyn Donahue of Webster, Ruby Pimentol of Chicago and Florence Rodeman of Bellingham, Wash.; six grandchildren; and two step-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, four brothers and one son.
