Description	:	Rozella Marie (Stee) Wieger was born April 21, 1922 in Codington County, South Dakota, the daughter of Hans and Eunice (Harriott) Stee. She died on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 85 years. She spent her early years and received her education in rural schools in Codington County and attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen and Dakota State College in Madison. Read More	Rozella Marie (Stee) Wieger was born April 21, 1922 in Codington County, South Dakota, the daughter of Hans and Eunice (Harriott) Stee. She died on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 85 years. She spent her early years and received her education in rural schools in Codington County and attended Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen and Dakota State College in Madison. Rozella was united in marriage to Melvin Wieger in Watertown, South Dakota on May 30, 1942. She taught rural schools in Day and Grant counties as well as Corsica, South Dakota and Volga, South Dakota. After moving to Brookings in 1958 she taught 5th grade in the Brookings School System for 22 years and taught overall for 37 years. Rozella was a member of First Lutheran Church in Brookings. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa where she served as president, secretary and sergeant at arms; the Brookings Education Association where she served as treasurer and president; and the Association of Childhood Education, Brookings Branch where she served as secretary and president. She is survived by two sons, Warren and Steve and his wife Sandy, all of Brookings; two grandchildren, Heidi and Cory; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Kendra; one brother, Albert Stee and his wife Lois of Clear Lake, SD; three sisters, Evelyn Donahue of Webster, SD, Ruby Pimental and her husband William of Clear Lake, SD and Florence Roderman of Bellingham, WA. Rozella was preceded in death by her husband Melvin on November 19, 2007, her parents, four brothers and one sister.
