Description	:	Helen Faye Roberts was born August 22, 1924 at Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of H. E. and Thelma (Craig) Wyatt, She graduated from Garden County High School in 1942. She married Bud McHatton on July 16, 1942. Faye spent most of her life in Garden County. She worked for Max Garton Ford Garage and was secretary at Garden County High School for 13 years. She married Bruce Roberts in 1962 and they lived on a farm east of Lewellen. Faye spent many days and hours caring for her mother in the nursing home. She loved to... Read More	Helen Faye Roberts was born August 22, 1924 at Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of H. E. and Thelma (Craig) Wyatt, She graduated from Garden County High School in 1942. She married Bud McHatton on July 16, 1942. Faye spent most of her life in Garden County. She worked for Max Garton Ford Garage and was secretary at Garden County High School for 13 years. She married Bruce Roberts in 1962 and they lived on a farm east of Lewellen. Faye spent many days and hours caring for her mother in the nursing home. She loved to play bridge, cook and was an avid reader. She was a central figure in her family. She was active in community affairs and was a member of the Methodist Church. Faye passed away November 15, 1996 at Notth Platte at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 23 days. A Memorial Service was held Monday, November 18, 1996 at the Lewellen United Methodist Church with Rev. Joy Savage officiating. Faye is survived by her husband, Bruce Roberts of Lewellen; sons, Gregg McHatton of Lewellen and J. C. McHatton of Oakley, Kansas; daughter, Linda Krajewski of Lincoln; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; her mother, Thelma Wyatt of Oshkosh and sisters, Norma Rhiley and Shirley Sullivan, both of Oshkosh, and Liz Whiting of Pryor, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, James and sister, Hope.
