She died Jan. 28 1998, at Hastings. Raised on the family farm near Bostwick, she attended Bostwick school through tenth grade and graduated from Superior High School. This union was blessed with three adopted children. In their early married years, Helen and Kermit lived on a farm south of Cadams. In 1958, they moved to California and settled near Fresno. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Dorothy Stenson. Survivors include three sons, Shane Nielsen, San Diego, Calif., Kim Nielsen, and Calvin, Nielsen, both of Fresno, Calif., two brothers, Albert Malsbury, North Platte, and Gene Malsbury, Aurora, Neb.; four sisters, Laura Jensen and Janet Hansen, both of Superior, Donna Bird, New York, N.Y., and Nadine Vincelette, Colorado; and three grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior. Pastor Paul Albrecht officiated. Williams Funeral Home, Superior, was in charge of arrangements.
