Pastor Paul Albrecht will officiate. Janet was one of eight children. She attended schools at Bostwick and Superior, graduating from Superior High School with the Class of 1938. She received her teaching certificate from Kearney. On August 13, 1944, in Mankato, KS she was united in marriage to John Wesley Hansen. This union was blessed with 5 children. John and Janet lived and farmed west of Superior. They enjoyed both ballroom and square dancing, traveling, playing pinochle with the Card Club, fishing and reading. She was a member of the Centennial Lutheran Church. Janet made the Superior Good Samaritan Center her home on April 2, 2002. Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband John on May 14, 1991, 2 brothers, Albert and Gene Malsbury, and 3 sisters, Helen Frances Nielsen, Dorothy Stenson and Donna Bird. Survivors include her children, Donn and wife Susan of North Platte, NE. Sharon Schmidt and husband Bob of Holdrege, NE. Dwight and wife Janet of Cedar Rapids, IA. Wanda Laster and husband Julian of Bonita Springs, FL. and Debra Young and husband Mike of Ft. Collins, CO. Five grandchildren, Sheila Hansen, Brian Hansen, James Hansen, Jason Jennings and Mackenzie Young, 3 great grandchildren, Peyton and Logan Hansen and Morgan Ann Berry and 2 sisters, Laura Jensen and husband Harry of Superior, NE. and Nadine Vincelette and husband Muril of Grand Junction, CO. nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, NE. Friends may stop by on Wednesday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Megrue-Price Funeral Home.
