She was born and raised in Lexington, and moved to Toms River in 1950. She was an accountant assistant for Meese, Gorby and Russo in Toms River for 33 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River. She was a member of Lady Guards of East Dover and Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association Unit No. 124 in Lakehurst, N.J. She was an avid bowler in the 1960s for the Playdrome Sundowners. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Chief Petty Officer Bernard Stanley Wilkerson. She is survived by a son, Jack Wilkerson of Toms River; a daughter, Patricia Clatts of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and a brother, Oscar Moore of Winston Salem, N.C. Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals in Toms River handled the arrangements. Burial took place Saturday, Jan. 12, at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.
