Description	:	HUSTON, HELEN—Helen Loghry Huston, daughter of James and Lucy Loghry, was born at Orland, Ind., March 12, 1854. She died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pittard near Geneva, Neb., January 6, 1940, aged 85 years, 9 months and 25 days. She came with her parents to Fillmore county March 12, 1871. Read More	HUSTON, HELEN—Helen Loghry Huston, daughter of James and Lucy Loghry, was born at Orland, Ind., March 12, 1854. She died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pittard near Geneva, Neb., January 6, 1940, aged 85 years, 9 months and 25 days. She came with her parents to Fillmore county March 12, 1871. She was one of the pioneer school teachers of Fillmore county. She was united in marriage to Adam Huston October 5, 1873. Her husband had a home ready for his bride on his homestead three miles north of Geneva, Neb., which has been her home continuously. Born to this union were seven children. They are James of Abilene, Kas, Hugh, A. D. and Frank of Geneva, Mrs. Charles Pittard of Geneva, Mrs. Sam Lash of Chapman, Kas., and Mrs. P. A. Murr of Clark, Col. Her husband passed away June 21, 1923. She was one of the early pioneers and she saw many changes during her span of life. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother. She was a faithful Christian, having joined the Presbyterian church at Fairmont at an early age. She leaves to mourn her passing, her seven children, fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; also a nephew, Clarence Loghry, whom she cared for from infancy; also numerous relatives and many friends. The funeral service was held at the Hrubesky funeral home at 2 p. m. Tuesday, January 9, and was conducted by Rev. William Kilburn. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
