Mr. Robinson moved with his family to Slater, Mo., in 1910, when Helen was but three years of age, where she was reared and resided until 1924. She was a graduate of Slater grade and high schools and attended the Central State Teachers College in Warrensburg, Mo., where she later taught. Having completed her schooling, Helen accepted a teaching position in Gary, Indiana, going from there to Chicago, Ill., where she taught until her marriage. She was united in marriage to Ervin W. Wadstein of Chicago, Ill., Aug 2, 1937, moving with her husband to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1942. Besides her husband, Ervin W. Wadstein, Mrs. Wadstein is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson of Slater, Mo., one son, Erwin W. Wadstein, Jr, Carl Robinson of Gary, Indiana, Mrs Genell Beard of Slater, Mo., Henry Robinson of the United States Navy; Mrs. Arseneau of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; John Wm. Robinson, Mrs. Ruth Reed, and Ida Lou Robinson, all of Washington, D. C. and several nieces and nephews. Helen was a fine and loveable character that not only made many friends wherever she went, but through her interest and thoughtfulness, retained those friendships. She had been a member of the Presbyterian church for several years, remaining active in that faith until prevented by broken health, and constant in her devotion to her Christ until the end. Her passing leaves many to regret that such loyalty and devotion to family and friends must terminate. Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Wadstein Sunday afternoon, August 14, by the Rev. Joe Penn Pritchett in the Slater Methodist Church, under the direction of Hill Brothers Undertakers. Interment was in the Slater City Cemetery.
