Funeral services for Mrs. Peter De Jongh who passed away last Tuesday morning, were held on Friday from the Home and from the First Reformed Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Peter De Jongh who passed away last Tuesday morning, were held on Friday from the Home and from the First Reformed Church. Because of the expected arrival of her son, Warrant Officer, Pharmacist, John De Jongh, the burial service at the cemetery was put off until he could arrive. Word was received on Sunday that he would arrive in Omaha, Nebraska on Monday afternoon and arrangements were then completed and a short service was held at the home on Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in Hope cemetery Mrs. Peter De Jongh, a long time resident of Hull and vicinity, passed away her home Tuesday morning, Hendrika Vreeman De Jongh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garret Jan Vreeman was born May 25, 1877 at Laren Netherlands, and came to the states as a young girl. On March 10, 1907, she was united in marriage to Peter De Jongh, who preceded her In death In 1942, and to this union twelve children were born, who survive. The children are: Charles of Bearer Creek, Minn.; Gerrit of Hills, Minn; Dick of Hull; Peter of Hills, Minn.; Henry of Hull; Agnes, Mrs. John A. Wolfswinkel of Orange City; Mrs. Clarence Wolfswinkel of Hull; Dena Mrs. Frank De Boer of Bellflower CA; John with the U. S. Navy stationed in the southwest, Pacific; Bertha Mrs. Arie Bomgaars of Hull. Willie with the US Army stationed in Europe and Freeman with the US Navy stationed on a US Ship in the Pacific. There are thirty three grand and one great grand child. Hendrieka married Peter/Pieter De Jongh Hendrieka and Peter are the parents of twelve children: ~Charles b. April 16, 1898 d.
