Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Midway near Battle Creek with Rev. Donald Winterrowd officiating. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Service of Anthon. Mrs. Hamann, the former Henriette Elizabeth "Hattie" Zellmer, was born March 27, 1891, in Moville to Gustav and Louise Johp Zellmer. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Service of Anthon. Mrs. Hamann, the former Henriette Elizabeth "Hattie" Zellmer, was born March 27, 1891, in Moville to Gustav and Louise Johp Zellmer. She attended school at Moville and received a teaching degree from Morningside College. She taught school in rural Moville for five years and later in the Midway area. She married Hans Peter Hamann February 25, 1914, near Moville. They lived in Lawton until 1916 when they moved to Anthon and Midway community. They retired in 1943 and moved to Anthon. He died December 18, 1968. Mrs. Hamann had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church since 1916 and was an active member of the Lutheran Ladies Aid, in which she had held offfices of President and Treasurer. She translated the church records from German to English. She was a Gold Star mother. Survivors include a son, John of Anthon, three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Mildred) Fitchner and Mrs. Alvin (Marion) Rippke, both of Moville, and Mrs. Margaret Milligan of Anthon, three brothers, Edmund and Frank Zellmer both of Moville and Gus Zellmer of Lawton, 20 grandchildren and 45 great grandhcildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, two sisters and five brothers.
