Henry Arthur Overman, better known as Mike, was a son of Aaron and Sue Overman. He was born March 9, 1894 and died at Faucet Mo., June 22, 1952. He grew to manhood in Villisca, where he entered the cement and pipeline contracting business. He was united in marriage in 1911 to Dora Gardner. In 1929, he and his family moved to Shenandoah, where they made home and he continued in the contracting business. Preceding him in death were his wife, a daughter Bernice, who died in infancy, and two brothers. He is survived by two sons Dorus M. Overman of Ottumwa, and J. B. Overman of El Paso, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Wilkey of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Doras Bolster, Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. James Brennan of Wilcox, Ariz. and one brother Bert Overman, of San Francisco, Calif.
