The Odebolt Chronicle - Thu, Dec 12, 1929 - The body of HC Simon, a well known resident of Odebolt was found by passing motorists a few miles out of Sac City about noon Saturday. Sac City authorities were notifies and the body taken to that town. Mr Simon was in Wall Lake Thursday evening and John Gray editor of the Wall Lake Blade and a friend of Mr Simon talked with him. He went from there to Sac and was evidently on his way home Friday night when death came. An inquest was held in Sac City yesterday afternoon and the verdict was that the death of Mr Simon was due to exposure. Funeral services will be held in the Presbyterian church this afternoon and burial made in the Odebolt cemetery. Henry C Simon was born in Crawford county, near Vail April 25, 1874 and at his death had reached the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 7 days. He was the youngest of 6 children and all of his life has been passed in Crawford and Sac counties. He resided on farms near Wall Lake and Odebolt until a few years ago when he moved to town. He is survived by his wife and 4 children, two of these by a former wife and 5 stepchildren. One daughter Lela passed away in 1927. He is also survived by one brother, William of Odebolt and one sister, Mrs Frank Ziphker of Lake View. Name Henry C.
