Description	:	HOGUE, HENRY EARL EARL--Henry Earl Hogue, son of William and Luella Hogue, was born on a farm near Tobias, Neb., September 16, 1895. He resided in Wyoming for a few years. He entered the Army in June, 1917, and spent one year in France during World War I. He was united in marriage to Edith M. Madison, December 31, 1919. Read More	HOGUE, HENRY EARL EARL--Henry Earl Hogue, son of William and Luella Hogue, was born on a farm near Tobias, Neb., September 16, 1895. He resided in Wyoming for a few years. He entered the Army in June, 1917, and spent one year in France during World War I. He was united in marriage to Edith M. Madison, December 31, 1919. He began employment in May, 1947, with Fillmore county as a store room clerk. He worked at this job until retirement in January, 1962. Earl was a member of the American Legion, the World War I Barracks and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Hogue departed this life November 10, 1964, after an extended illness, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 25 days. Surviving him are his wife, Edith M. Hogue, and his mother, Luella Hogue; six children, Walter R. and Robert W. of Geneva, Myrna (Mrs. Ted Richey) of Salem, Ore., Marjorie (Mrs. Edward Langhorst) of Neodesha, Kas., Phyliss (Mrs. William Kamler Jr.) of Shickley, and Vivian (Mrs. Rodger Franck) of Geneva, 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Thursday, November 12, Rev. Robert J. Kasper officiated. Mrs. Gerald Pickerell sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “In the Garden” accompanied by Mrs. Willard Foster. Pallbearers were Elmer Churchill of Lincoln, Fred Hofferber, LeRoy Landgren, Wilson Miller, Carl Schneider and Fred Stofer. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery, with military honors given at the grave. The Nebraska Signal 19 November 1964 page 9.
