Description	:	HOGUE, WALTER ROLAND—Walter Roland Hogue was born to Henry Earl Hogue and Edith Madison Hogue on December 26, 1920, at Geneva and died September 5, 1984, at Fillmore County Hospital, Geneva, at the age of 63 years 8 months and 10 days. Read More	HOGUE, WALTER ROLAND—Walter Roland Hogue was born to Henry Earl Hogue and Edith Madison Hogue on December 26, 1920, at Geneva and died September 5, 1984, at Fillmore County Hospital, Geneva, at the age of 63 years 8 months and 10 days. He was one of six children in the family. He attended school in Geneva and graduated May 24, 1940, from Geneva high school. He served his country from October 1942 to October 1945, and was stationed overseas from September 1944 to August 1945. He served as a flight maintenance gunner on a B-17-G and achieved the rank of technical sergeant. On December 28, 1942, he was married to Elnora Pearl Buchmeier of Geneva. Their marriage was blessed with three children. He was confirmed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran church, Geneva on June 5, 1947. He worked for Fillmore County and for the State of Nebraska as a mechanic until his retirement in 1982. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Earl and Edith Hogue, and he is survived by his wife Elnora; son, Bill and wife, Jan Hogue of Geneva; daughter, Nancy and husband, Max Frankforter of Geneva; son Clinton, of Florida; granddaughter, Jodi Hogue of Geneva; and by many relatives and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping and especially enjoyed his family by whom he will be greatly missed. Funeral services were conducted at Grace Lutheran church, Geneva, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 1984. Military graveside services were held at the Geneva public cemetery.
