Description	:	Henry F. Kock was born on a farm near Worthing, South Dakota on April 5, 1908, the son of Fred and Hilka (Stoffers) Kock. He and his parents later moved to a farm south of Chancellor. He attended rural school there. He worked for area farmers until he married and started farming. On January 24, 1935, he was united in marriage to Johanna Maude Marks in Lennox. Kock was born on a farm near Worthing, South Dakota on April 5, 1908, the son of Fred and Hilka (Stoffers) Kock. He and his parents later moved to a farm south of Chancellor. He attended rural school there. He worked for area farmers until he married and started farming. On January 24, 1935, he was united in marriage to Johanna Maude Marks in Lennox. They farmed for a time near Davis and then moved to a farm near Beresford. In 1949, they moved to their farm west of Lennox. He retired from farming and they moved into Lennox in 1974. His death ended a marriage partnership of over 61 years. Henry was an active and faithful member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Preceding him in death were his mother in 1942; his father in 1957; his sister, Clara, in November of 1917; his sister, Anna, in March of 1928; and his brother, Fred R. Kock in June of 1977. Having been in declining health, Henry died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center early Sunday morning, August 4, 1966. He attained the age of 88 years, three months, and 29 days. Grateful fro having shared his life are his widow, Maude; one daughter, Ardis Fischer and her husband, Delmar; two sons: Wayne Kock and his wife, Berdine, and Roger Kock and his wife, Monica, all of Lennox; ten grandchildren; Marcia Ronke and her husband, James; Barb Wetering; Doyle Fischer and his wife, Kathy; Terri Townsend and her husband, David; Mark Kock; Paul Kock; Carla, Carmen, Sara, and Rachael Kock; six great-grandchildren: NaTosha and Dustin Ronke; Drew Wetering; Dylan and Devin Fischer; and Molly Townsend.
