Description	:	Funeral services were held on Saturday at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church for Johanna Maude Kock, who died on Mar. 11, 2009 at Sanford Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls. She attained the age of 92 years, 2 months and 11 days. Officiating at the service was Rev. David Young. Organist was Jamie Strasser, Paul Bossman was soloist. Johanna Maude Marks was born at Hurley, SD on Dec. 28, 1916, the daughter of Ben and Johanna (Sipma) Marks. On Jan. 24, 1935 Maude was married to Henry F. Kock. She and Hank farmed near Davis for ten years and near Beresford for four years before moving to the farm west of Lennox where they farmed for 26 years. They retired into Lennox in 1975. Her husband died on Aug. 4, 1996, endinga marriage of over 61 years. She then moved to Sunrise Manor, living there until July of 2008 when she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls. Maude's membership at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church was very important to her. She was very active in the WIC and JOY groups of the church. She loved to sew and crochet. Since 1999 she had made over 900 quilts for Project Linus. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Esther Hammerstrom, Marie Jibben and Flora Hammerstrom; her son-in-law: Delmar Fischer on Aug. 11, 2005 and one great-grandson, Dylan Fischer on Sept. 4, 2006. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter: Ardis Fischer of Tea; two sons and their wives: Wayne and Berdine Kock of Lennox and Roger and Monica Kock of Chancellor; ten grandchildren: Marcia (James) Ronke, Barb Wetering, Doyle (Kathy) Fischer, Mark Kock, Paul Kock, Terri(David) Townsend, Carla, Carmen, Sara and Rachael Kock; six greatgrandchildren: NaTosha (Clark) Reiners, Dustin(Tracee) Ronke, Drew Wetering, Devin Fischer, Molly and John Townsend; two great-greatgrandchildren: Jaiden Ronke and Brooklyn Reiners; a sister-in-law: Dorothea Kock of Lennox; a special niece, Irene Harms of Sioux Falls
