Description	:	Henry Frank King, the eldest son of John and Mary King, was born near Monticello, Iowa, October 30, 1857, and departed this life at his home in Edgar, Nebraska, Sunday, January 27, 1935, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 27 days. On May 7, 1881, he was united in marriage to Phoebe E. Miell, near Monticello, Iowa. They moved to his farm four miles south and one and one-half miles east of Edgar on March 14, 1884, where he resided until January 14, 1914, when they retired and moved to Edgar, Nebraska. ... Read More	Henry Frank King, the eldest son of John and Mary King, was born near Monticello, Iowa, October 30, 1857, and departed this life at his home in Edgar, Nebraska, Sunday, January 27, 1935, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 27 days. On May 7, 1881, he was united in marriage to Phoebe E. Miell, near Monticello, Iowa. To this union were born six children, three sons and three daughters. Two sons and one daughter preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters, John D. King and Mrs. Verna Schlichtman of Edgar, Nebraska, and Mrs. Grace Krueger of St. Paul, Nebraska; one sister, Mrs. Dora Perryman of Superior, Nebraska; one brother, S. J. King of Hastings, and nine grandchildren and a host of friends. He joined the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar during the McConnell meetings and attended regularly until failing health prevented. Mr. King's illness was of some twenty years duration. May he rest until the Master of all good workmen shall set him to work anew. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. T. S. Hughes was in charge of the services. Floyd A. Hanson sang two solos, "Prayer Perfect" and "Vale (Farewell)". Mrs. E. R. Vorhees was at the organ. The pallbearers were Roy DeVore, Clark Kinnison, Emory Grossman, Rollan Arnold, Carl Mills and Louis Schlichtman. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery. CARD OF THANKS To all our kind friends and neighbors we wish to take this means of thanking you for all the kind deeds rendered during the illness and after the death of our beloved husband and father, and for the expressions of sympathy, we want you to know that we are very grateful. He formerly resided on a farm in Sherman precinct, 4 miles south and 1 ½ miles east of Edgar, and in 1914 he retired and moved to Edgar. He is survived by one son and two daughters.
