Description	:	Son of Henry F. Petersen Sr. and Emma Bohnhoff. He was one of 12 children. He was baptized on May 17, 1903, by Rev. Theodore Streng and confirmed on April 1, 1917, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Johnson, Nebr. He was married on Aug. 17, 1929, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church to Wilma Troegel. They established their residence on the farm where Henry was born and lived there for nearly 35 years. They then moved into Johnson, Nebraska. They then moved into Johnson, Nebraska. He worked with the A.S.C.S. program from its inception until he retired. He passed away at the age of 79 years, and 11 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and five sisters. Surviving are his wife, Wilma of the Good Samaritan Home in Auburn, NE; one son, Loren of Los Angeles, CA; and one daughter Mrs.(Elaine) Jim Hippen of Decorah, IA; 4 grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Petersen of Auburn; one sister, Mrs. Sophia Yelkin of Auburn, Nebr. Funeral Services were held on May 11,1982 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, in Johnson, Nebr.
