Description	:	From the Eureka Herald: Henry Harvey Chambers, son of James A. Chambers and Carolyn (Norman) Chambers, was born on April 4, 1866 at Fontana, KS. He died at his home in Eureka, May 28, 1947, at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 24 days. he came to Greenwood County with hi parents in 1972 and settled on a claim. H was united in marriage to Minnie Friddle, March 23, 1888 in Emporia, KS. He died at his home in Eureka, May 28, 1947, at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 24 days. he came to Greenwood County with hi parents in 1972 and settled on a claim. H was united in marriage to Minnie Friddle, March 23, 1888 in Emporia, KS. To this union were born seven children: Mrs. Carolyn Nixon, Arthur Chambers, Mrs. Ruth Wall of Eureka, Mrs. Mary Manka, ElDorado, Dick Chambers Madison, Roy Chambers of Wellsville, and Mrs. Gladys Totland, Hutchinson. Mrs. Chambers passed away Dec. 20, 1945. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Mr. Chambers was one of a family of fourteen children, six of whom survive him. They are James A. Chambers, Beggs, OK, Mrs. Electra Cannon, Red Rock, OK. Mrs. Minnie Hook, Colorado Springs, CO; Edward R. Chambers, Eureka, Mrs. Nellie Close and Lewis Chambers of Iola, KS. Early in life he joined the Methodist church at Highland, KS. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Methodist church in Eureka. Service were conducted at Baird Funeral Home, Saturday, May 31, 1947 by Rev. A. W. Johnson, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery. He received a teaching certificate but he never taught school. He was a farmer and a stockman.
