Description	:	OBITUARY; Henry Otis Eastwood was born to Henry and Mary Eastwood July 12, 1874 at Wyota, WI. When he was about 4 years old the family came to Mission Creek in a covered wagon. Read More	OBITUARY; Henry Otis Eastwood was born to Henry and Mary Eastwood July 12, 1874 at Wyota, WI. When he was about 4 years old the family came to Mission Creek in a covered wagon. He remembered that the first night they camped a short distance east of the Church. (Note: this was the first night of their arrival in Mission Creek.) He was from a large family, and in his youth he was very helpful to his mother with the work of the home. On Dec 25, 1901 he was married to Anna Isabel Aitken of Winchester, KS, who preceded him in death March 7, 1950. Their entire married life was spent at Mission Creek, except for a few years when they lived west of Liberty. To this union six children were born: Verna, at home; Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Yelick of San Bruno, CA; Henry of San Lorenzo, CA; John of Blaine, KS; Lyall at home; and Mrs Don (Lucy) Peacock of Pawnee City. Twelve children call him "Grandpa". He is also survived by four brothers: Robert of Gas, KS; Austin of Milport, NY; Fred of Port Orchard, WA; and Harvey of Oakland, CA. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. In failing health for several years, he was confined to his room the past several weeks. In accordance with his wishes he was taken to the Pawnee County Hospital the evening of Nov. 21 (1951). The next afternoon he quietly passed away. Otis, as he was known by many, will long be remembered for his honesty and industry. Funeral services were held Nov. 26, at the Mission Creek church at which he had long been a member, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Hugh Marsh, assisted by Dr. Comin. Burial was at Mission Creek (Cemetery). (from the Pawnee Republican.) Comin, all of Pawnee City; Mr and Mrs Arthur Nelson, Stella; Mr and Mrs Vernon Abele, Holmesville; Mr and Mrs Fred Preston, Fairbury; Mr and Mrs Charles Mefford and Chester, Holyoke, CO; Mr and Mrs Chas.
