Mr. Marquardt was born Oct. 13, 1862, in Friedrichstadt, Holstein, Germany. He came to the United States with his parents, John and Louise Marquardt, in 1867, and settled near Freeport, Ill., where they resided until May, 1872, when they came to Nebraska. Me married Rosena G. Uehling on May 25, 1888. They moved to Fremont in June, 1919, having previously lived at Snyder and Hooper.
