Description	:	Herman Falke, born on March 27, 1872 at Wahoo, Saunders county, Nebraska, departed this life on January 20, having reached the age of 70 years, 9 months and 23 days. At the age of 18 in the year 1890, he came to Knox county with his parents. The family made their home one mile north of Creighton. In the year of 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Martha Stroberger of Creighton. To this union two daughter were born, Emma and Lydia. Read More	Herman Falke, born on March 27, 1872 at Wahoo, Saunders county, Nebraska, departed this life on January 20, having reached the age of 70 years, 9 months and 23 days. At the age of 18 in the year 1890, he came to Knox county with his parents. The family made their home one mile north of Creighton. In the year of 1898, he was united in marriage to Miss Martha Stroberger of Creighton. To this union two daughter were born, Emma and Lydia. After their marriage, the couple made their home on a farm one mile east of Creighton. The following year, they moved one mile south of Creighton. Then, they spent one year at home with his parents. The fourth year of their married life, they moved to a farm six miles northeast of Bazile Mills. Here they made their home, until he, unfortunately, had an accident with a tractor, which cost him the loss of one of his limbs. This sad accident happened, October 5, 1934. No longer physically fit to carry on with the farm work, he and his wife moved to Creighton in 1935, where he lived until the time of his death. The past five years he was employed by the city of Creighton. In spite of his physical handicap, he insisted on making a living for himself. A month before Christmas, he had a setback. At that time he was at the home of his daughter, Emma (Henry) Kumm. The family desperately to get him to give up his work and remain with them, but all in vain. He wanted to go back to Creighton, for fear he might lose his position. Mr. Falke's wife preceded him in death, July 4, 1838. He leaves to mourn his departure, two daughters, Emma, Mrs. Henry Kumm and Lydia, Mrs. George Mock and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charlie Schoenfeldt, Johnny Kumm, Albert Suhr, Carl Kumm, Charlie Hubson and Wm. HInzmann. Services were conducted Friday, January 22 at 2 p.m. from the home of C.
