Description	:	HERMAN H. HITZEMAN Herman H. Hitzeman, the fourth child in a family of eight children, was born Aug. 8, 1871 to Christopher and Angeline Beethe Hitzeman two and one half miles north of Steinauer, and departed this life April 6, 1950 at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 28 days. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith March 29, 1885, and united with the First Presbyterian church, April 3, 1947. Jan. 21, 1903 he was united in marriage to Maesie Stout. To this union four children were born; three daughters and a son. The son Melvin, passed away in 1933 during the Christmas season. His parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, his immediate family, the wife amd three daughters, Mrs. Irene Miller, Albuquerque, N. Mex., Mrs. Hazel Martin, Tarkio, Mo., Mrs. Almeda Boehmer, Pawnee City; two brothers, Gustave Hitzeman, Tecumseh; Emil Hitzeman, Olpe, Kans. Seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The past five years he has lived in our midst with but a slight exception, the rest of his days were spent on the farm on which he was born. (Pawnee Republican, Apr. 13, 1950.)
