Description	:	Obituary: Herman Otto Sassse, son of Frank and Marie Sasse, was born at Bramburg, Germany, on July 17, 1867, and departed this life on Friday, Mar. 8, 1946, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 19 days. At the age of 13 years he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, to which he remained faithful. In May of the same year, 1881, he came to this country, settling in Nemaha County with his parents. Read More	Obituary: Herman Otto Sassse, son of Frank and Marie Sasse, was born at Bramburg, Germany, on July 17, 1867, and departed this life on Friday, Mar. 8, 1946, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 19 days. At the age of 13 years he was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, to which he remained faithful. In May of the same year, 1881, he came to this country, settling in Nemaha County with his parents. Theylived in Smith Center, KS, for a while. On March 4, 1890, he was united in marriage to Margaret Kuper. These pioneers made their home in Nemaha County until 1899, when they moved to their farm near Diller, NE> To their union were born eight children. In the spring of 1925 the departed and his wife retired in Diller. There he died after a brief illness, having the loving care of his wife and children. Two children preceded him in death in their infancy. He leaves to mourn; his wife: four sons and two daughters; Ernest, Albert, and Fred, all of Diller, Ella (Mrs. Gustav Fintal) of Hardy, George of Steele City, NE. and Clare (Mrs. Conrad Arntt)of Odell; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoonMar. 11th at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Otto Spehr officiating. Buial was made in Prairie Home Cemetery. Waggoners Funeral Service.
