She was born on August 8, 1922 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Carl and Minnie (Bergman) Behnfeldt. On January 1, 1944, she married Harvey A. Meyer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, Ohio and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1976. She was born on August 8, 1922 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Carl and Minnie (Bergman) Behnfeldt. On January 1, 1944, she married Harvey A. Meyer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, Ohio and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1976. Hildegarde was a homemaker and also spent several years babysitting and worked part-time as a sales clerk at TG&Y, Napoleon. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, where she was a former member of the Lydia Mission Circle Society. She enjoyed sewing, crewel embroidery and playing cards. She is survived by her children; Wayne Meyer of Loudonville, Ohio, Richard (Vickie) Meyer of Tecumseh, Michigan and Debra (Phil) Lambert of Geneva, Illinois, grandchildren; Kelly Meyer, William Meyer, Amy Meyer, Phillip Lambert, Jason (Jen) Nagel, and Adam (Rosanne) Nagel, great grandchildren, William, Ella, Henry, and Charlie Nagel and Makenize Adams, sister, Anita Cordes of Napoleon and sister-in-law, JoAnn Behnfeldt of Napoleon. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Unger, great granddaughter, Claire Nagel, brothers, Norman and Marvin Behnfeldt and sister, Ruth Bergstedt. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 11 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
